Each Friday I want to share with you a quote, some thougths, an image...something that talks to me and inspires me to seek positive change and be a better person everyday.
Have you ever tried to live a minimalist lifestyle?
I will not be the one to cast the first stone: I am still stuck with so many things, clothing items, books...that have now travelled the world in bags, boxes and containers in all shapes and colours. But moving has made it easy to keep the essential: whatever extras you have and don't need, is an extra carton and an extra weight you will need to carry, unpack, sort, repack, and so on and so forth.
So for the past years we have been working hard in giving away or discarding what we do not need anymore. Combined with continuous efforts to not buy "for the sake of buying" and to think long-term use and sustainable impact, we have done quite a lot.
My #FridayInspiration post of the week is this short video from Goodful (you have probably seen one of these quietly sneaked through onto your timeline by the Facebook algorithm), and I think it could be a good challenge for any of us. Keep the essential and spend your energy positively rather than wasting it on material things.
Shall we, at OUTSIDE THE BOX, help you look at and organize your stuff to reduce your impact? Let us know down here in a comment and we can discuss how to stimulate change!
